A transitive verb is a type of verb that needs an object to make complete sense of
the action being performed by the subject.
An intransitive verb is a verb that does not necessarily require an object to make
sense of the action being performed by the subject in a sentence or a context.
Transitive
We always eat breakfast early in the morning.
I was stung by a bee.
She studied the worksheets thoroughly.
Intransitive
We always eat early in the morning.
Bees sting if they are provoked.
She studied for her graduate exam.
