L. Craft Animal Masks: Create masks of Timothy and his companions using paper,
cardboard, and art supplies. Use the masks to act out scenes from the story. To
create masks of Timothy and his companions, follow these instructions:
• Collect cardboard, paper, markers, crayons, glue, scissors, and elastic strings for
the masks.
• Draw the outline of Timothy’s face and his companions (Toto the monkey, and
the puppy) on cardboard. Include cutouts for eyes and mouth.
• Use art supplies to colour and decorate the masks. Refer to the story for
accurate features like Timothy’s stripes and his companions’ characteristics.
• Carefully cut along the outlines and punch holes on the sides for attaching
elastic strings. Ensure the masks are sturdy and comfortable to wear.
• Tie elastic strings through the holes on each side of the masks, ensuring a
snug fit when worn.
• Put on the masks and act out scenes from the story with friends or family.
Pretend to be Timothy, Toto, or the puppy as you recreate memorable moments.
• Enjoy the creative role-play experience, bringing the story to life through your
masks and interactions.
